This online utility lets you change the number of times a GIF animation gets repeated. You can make it play continuously/infinitely or you can set a finite number of play iterations. You can quickly switch between the various looping modes and download the new GIF file with the new loop count in a single click. Created by GIF experts from team Browserling.

This is a browser-based program that modifies the loop counter in GIF files. For example, you can convert an infinitely repeating GIF into a GIF that repeats just once. Or, you can convert a GIF that plays just once into a GIF that plays twice or three times. Or, you can convert a GIF that loops just once into a continuously looping GIF. When using this program you have to be aware that different browsers, operating systems, and programs interpret the loop counter value differently. Some think that it's the absolute total number of times a GIF should be repeated (including the first loop) but some others think it's the number of times a GIF should be iterated (after the first loop). Because of this, we added several different loop mode options. The "Loop Strictly 1 Time" option will always repeat a GIF just once on all systems. It will play the animation from the first frame to the last and then stop. This option is guaranteed to work in all browsers and programs. The "Loop a Specific Number of Times" option will set the internal GIF repeat variable to your value. However, because of the earlier mentioned differences, in some environments, your GIF might play one time more than you specified. If that happens, use a workaround and set the value to one less than you wanted. The "Repeat Infinitely" option will repeat the animation endlessly. This option also works on all systems. When working with GIFs, you can enable or disable the loop preview in the options. The two built-in players will show the original and modified GIFs with the precise number of loops (as defined in the Netscape 2.0 application extension). If the loop of any of the GIFs comes to an end, you can restart them by clicking the "Restart animation" button. If you need to know the number of loops of the input GIF, you can see this information in the options. Additionally, you can also find information about other GIF properties there, such as size (width/height), frame position (current frame/total frames), and duration interval between the previous and current frame (in milliseconds). To download a GIF file with the new loop count, go to the output loop area and click the buttons "Save as" and "Download". Gifabulous!

In this example, we convert a single-loop GIF into an endless-loop GIF. The application extension block of the original GIF doesn't contain the repetitions variable and therefore it's played just once. We overwrite the application extension block with a new repetitions variable and set the number of repetitions to infinity. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we load an infinite-loop Halloween animation and convert it to a finite-loop animation with 5 loops. To do it, we select the specific loop count mode and enter 5 in the number of loops value. Thus, the output GIF plays just 5 times and then stops (on some operating systems it may be 6 because different systems treat the loop value differently). (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we chose a GIF from our favorite survival horror video game Silent Hill. In this GIF, Harry opens a locker in Midwich Elementary School to find a cat that jumps out and flees. It's one of the scariest moments of the game. Scary moments usually don't scare twice, so we stop the GIF from looping and play it only once by choosing the "Loop Strictly 1 Time" option.
