Gif zoomer

World's simplest gif tool

This online utility lets you zoom in on a GIF animation and increase the animation's size. You can scale the GIF frames by a constant factor and switch between smooth or sharp zooming modes. You can also instantly view the zoomed GIF animation and download it to your computer. Created by GIF experts from team Browserling.

Gif zoomer tool What is a gif zoomer?
This is a browser-based program that zooms GIF animations. It increases the width and height of each frame (maintaining the aspect ratio) and returns the enlarged GIF. The zoom level is set in percentage, where 100% is the original size of a GIF, 200% is a GIF twice as large, and 250% is a GIF that is 2.5 times larger. As an extra feature, we also allow entering a zoom level that is less than 100%. This way you can get a smaller GIF than the original. For example, a 50% zoom reduces the frame size by half and a 25% zoom shrinks a GIF by a factor of four. By default, the program averages the nearby pixels when the image is zoomed and the image gets a little bit blurry. If you want to keep the pixel sharpness in the output GIF, then disable the option "Smooth Zoom". You can view and compare the input and output GIFs directly in the browser by turning on or off the GIF animation viewer. You can also see the size of the original and zoomed GIFs before downloading, as well as explore other GIF properties such as the number of frames and frame delays in the GIF information area. Aerial Footage of a Lake
In this example, we load a GIF of drone footage of a lake and zoom in the animation to 150%, which is equivalent to resizing GIF width and height by 1.5x. The size of the original GIF is 250×135 and the size of the zoomed GIF is 375×203. We also activate the "Smooth Zoom" option to make the zoom less pixelated. (Source: Pexels.)

Falling Limes and Lemons
In this example, we run our zooming algorithm to reduce the GIF size. We set the scaling percentage to 50%, which resizes the GIF to half of its original size. We disable the smoothing of pixels and get a GIF of limes and lemons falling in water with the new size of 188 by 115. (Source: Pexels.)

Pixel Art
This example uses pixel art animation from the Metal Slug video game. The character in this GIF is Crablop (a rebel vehicle) and we make it twice as large by applying a 200% zoom to each frame. The zoomed output GIF has dimensions of 500 by 356 pixels. As this is pixel art, we deactivate the smooth scaling algorithm to make all output sprites pixel sharp. (Created by: SNK.)
