In this example, we replace the GIF background color of animated dancing chili peppers. The original background is gray (hex code #454444) and we change it to green (hex code #1D6438). In this example, we add a background color to a GIF that shows the Boss Key from the Donkey Kong game. The original animation doesn't have a background, so we enter "transparent" as the current background color. In this example, we remove the background color from a GIF animation of a happy clapping NASA astronaut. The astronaut is in deep space and the background color is dark blue. To delete the background, we enter the dark blue color as an RGB function rgb(34, 13, 95) and we enter the word "transparent" for the replacement color. This way, the dark blue color gets swapped with the transparent color in all 55 animation frames and we get a GIF with no background and the astronaut is in transparent weightlessness. This example shows the additional use-case of this program that lets you replace colors anywhere in the GIF (not just background). Here, we recolor an animation of a wall clock. We replace the black color of clock's bezel with the blue color. As the black color has several light flash reflection spots, we use approximate color matching of 21 percent to match these lighter tones of black.
