Gif reverser

World's simplest gif tool

This online utility lets you reverse the order of all frames in a GIF animation. You can preview the original forward running GIF animation and the backward running GIF animation at the same time in the built-in GIF players. You can also download the reversed GIF to your computer. Created by GIF experts from team Browserling.

Gif reverser tool What is a gif reverser?
This browser-based program reverses GIF animations. Usually, a GIF is animated by displaying all its frames from the first one to the last with a tiny delay between the frames (to create an animation effect). Sometimes, however, you need your GIFs to run in reverse. To play a GIF animation in reverse, the program initially deconstructs GIF into individual frames, then reverses the order of frames so that their positions go from the end to the beginning, and then reconstructs them to a new reversed GIF. It preserves the total number of frames and also the frame delays in the reversed GIF. You can observe the real-time animations of the input GIF and the output GIF by clicking the "Turn On the GIF Player" button in the options. You can also download the reversed animation by clicking the "Save as" button below the output field and then selecting the "Download" button. suolubafiG!

Reverse a Slow-motion GIF
In this example, we reverse a slo-mo GIF of a popping water balloon. In the output, we get a new GIF animation that plays the original GIF backwards. The reversed GIF has the same speed as the input GIF but now shows a water balloon being created from a pop frame by frame. (Source: Giphy.)

Breaking Glass in Reverse
The input GIF in this example has 18 animated frames that show a falling and breaking wine glass. We rearrange the frames backward from the last to the first and create a reverse GIF also with 18 frames but now the broken wine glass self-assembles from the shattered pieces and bounces up. (Source: Giphy.)

Chocolate with Nuts or Nuts with Chocolate?
In this example, we load a GIF with nuts falling into chocolate and turn on the reverse player. The player inverts the order of all GIF frames and returns a downloadable reverse GIF animation with nuts separating from the chocolate. (Source: Giphy, created by: HuffPost.)
