This online utility lets you remove extra padding from a static or animated GIF. You can select which sides to trim (top, bottom, left, or right) and specify the exact number of pixels to remove. You can also preview the padded and unpadded GIFs in a live player and find the dimensions (width/height) about the original and modified animations. Created by GIF experts from team Browserling.

This browser-based program removes unwanted padding from GIF files. Often, when GIFs are extracted from a video or an animation editor, excess transparent or solid-colored padding may appear around its sides, making the GIF appear uneven or unnecessarily large. Removing this padding can help restore the animation's original proportions, improve visual appearance, and make it smaller in size. In the tool options, you can independently adjust which sides to change (left, right, top, and/or bottom) and set how many pixels to trim from each side. For example, you can remove 15 pixels from the left and right sides while leaving the top and bottom untouched, or crop a different number of pixels from each side for precise centering. You can also use the GIF editor to adjust the padding area with your mouse. The real-time GIF player allows you to see changes instantly and ensure the padding is removed exactly as intended. In the tool options, you can also view and compare the size of the input GIF (with padding) and the output GIF (without padding), as well as see the frame counter and frame rate. If you need to increase padding instead of removing it, you can use our Add Padding to a GIF tool. Gifabulous!

In this example, we load a GIF animation of Kung Lao in a fighting stance from the Mortal Kombat game, which consists of nine frames. Although the GIF itself is small, it's surrounded by large amounts of transparent background on all sides. To remove it, we trim 60 pixels from the left, right, top, and bottom sides, leaving only a minimal margin around the character's actual animation and eliminate all the unnecessary padding. (Source: Midway Games.)
This example shows an animation of a wallet with cash and a bank card. The original GIF is much wider than it is tall, containing unused yellow background, which fills the left and right sides. We use our tool to remove this excess background by setting the left and right edge offset values to 154 pixels. By checking the animation's technical details panel, we see that the output GIF is now square with final dimensions of 330×330 pixels. (Source: Pexels.)
In this example, we remove the uniform white padding around a static GIF showing a tea plantation. Originally, the image is surrounded by 40 pixels of white padding on every side, so we configure the tool to delete exactly 40 pixels from all sides, leaving the image neatly cropped with no excess surrounding frame.
