This browser-based program adds a text watermark to a GIF file. A watermark helps protect a GIF from unauthorized reuse and can also display ownership, copyright information, branding, a username, a website name, or any other custom data. For example, you can use text such as "Copyright", "Do Not Copy", "© My Brand", or "@username" and it will appear on your GIF. You can enter multi-line watermark text in the tool options and customize its appearance. You can choose the watermark color, adjust its transparency level by changing the alpha channel value, and add a shadow. The shadow uses the standard CSS shadow format: x-offset, y-offset, blur, and color, for example, "2px 2px 2px black". By default, the watermark has no background, but you can add a semi-transparent or solid fill behind it. You can also change the font size, line height, font family, and text style, including bold, italic, or bold-italic. If the built-in fonts are not enough, you can load a custom font from a URL (for example from Google Fonts). In the input GIF preview area, you can drag the watermark box to any position, resize it, and rotate it to any angle. It can also go outside of the GIF and partially cover it. If you need more precise control, then instead of dragging the watermark box with your mouse, you can use the Top Distance, Left Distance, Width, Height, and Rotation Angle options fields. You can also set the watermark's horizontal alignment within the watermark box (center, left, or right). For GIFs with transparent backgrounds (such as GIF stickers), the watermark can be contained to the visible animated pixels so it does not appear on the transparent areas. To do it, select the "Clip Transparency" configuration option. You can also choose which frames should contain the watermark. Use "*" (asterisk symbol) to apply it to the entire GIF, enter a single frame number, or use frame lists and ranges such as "1, 3, 6" or "1-6, 25". To check the result, you can either preview the animated GIF or pause it at a specific frame. The frame information block displays helpful GIF details, including the total number of frames, the current frame delay, and the GIF dimensions. Gifabulous!

In this example, we watermark an animated burger GIF from our food site. To protect the animation from unauthorized reuse and turn it into a small animated business card, we use the site name "TastyGifSnack.com" as the watermark text. The watermark is placed across the burger, rotated counterclockwise by 15 degrees, and drawn on every frame of the GIF. We keep the watermark background transparent, use semi-transparent white text, add a black shadow for readability, and center the text inside the watermark box. (Source: Vecteezy.com.)
In this example, we load a transparent animated GIF sprite of Jupiter King (Mission 3 boss from Metal Slug 3). To visually mark that the character belongs to the Metal Slug game, we cover the sprites with a repeated multiline watermark made from the word "metalslug". We enable the "Clip Transparency" option so the watermark is clipped to the visible pixels and does not appear on the empty transparent background around the animation. We also apply the watermark only to frames 1 and 3, which creates a quickly flickering watermark effect while the sprite animation plays. (Source: SNK.)
In this example, we add a soft, personal ownership watermark to a static GIF image of our cat. The watermark text says "© Whiskers", and we place it centered at the top area of the GIF. We load a custom handwritten font from a Google Fonts URL, use semi-transparent white watermark color for the letters, and fill the watermark box with a lightly transparent dark color so the name stays easy to read.
