When you set the quality below 100%, the program reduces detail and introduces compression artifacts. You can also choose how this degradation is applied using the compression method option. In JPEG mode, the image develops visible blockiness, color smearing, and sharper artifact edges, resulting in a more aggressive, distorted look. In WebP mode, the degradation is smoother, with a slightly blurred effect even at very low quality levels. When you set the quality above 100%, the program enhances the GIF by increasing contrast and sharpening details, resulting in a clearer, more defined image.
